Flick, Flick - A Complaint About CPAC
This fall after the resumption of Parliament there was a disturbing change in CPAC's broadcasts in Quebec: There is no longer a CPAC channel with a 'live' broadcast from the floor. Regular cable subscribers have always had to make do with a French voice over, but specialty subscribers until recently could tune into a version of CPAC that played proceedings as is. Now that channel features English voice overs. And let's just say that the translations on both these channels are pretty bad. So, parliamentary junkies in Quebec who are fortunate enough to be bilingual have the option of flicking back and forth between the 'English' and 'French' CPACs if they want to hear proceedings in the actual language they are spoken. Extremely annoying. Bring back bilingual CPAC.
