A Blog Worth Checking Out

Steve at Far and Wide has compiled a list of Liberals who would like to see Stéphane Dion remain as leader of the Liberal Party. The various blog posts he links to are very interesting and telling, but I highly recommend the comments section, which is now up to 70+ comments and features some thought provoking discussion. I also want to encourage all Liberals who are disgusted with what has gone on this week vis-à-vis so-called insiders calling for our Leader's head (and shopping for support for other would-be candidates) to write to the Party to express themselves. If anyone should be gotten rid of without further delay, it's these people. And it's no secret who they are. While I actively supported another candidate for the leadership, I - along with my candidate - got behind our Leader from Day One. I only wish the saboteurs who would rather let Harper destroy the country while they orchestrate another leadership race had done the same. Rest assured that I will be writing my own letter to my friends at LPC and to our Leader.

PS: While I'm at it, I also want to encourage Liberals to stop watching politics shows on CTV. No longer will it be a toss up between Duffy and Newman in the PM and my Sunday QP ritual is no more.

Yes, you're right I'm sure. We should stand by the guy the Canadian public won't support until, eventually, the Harpies will screw up so badly the electorate will hold their noses and return us to power. He lost us the election and lost us a quarter of our seats. He brought us as low as we've ever been.

We need more Keith Daveys and a damn sight fewer people who think like you.

Get it through your skull that those calling for Dion to leave are just as much invested in the future of the Liberal Party as you claim to be. We're not traitors and it's despicable for you to smear us that way.

Dion had his chance. He went against clear advice to the contrary from the party's own pollster and he left us in a shambles. We can't afford that sort of leadership even if he doees give you the warm and fuzzies.

Are one of those anonymous 'insiders' slagging off Dion in the media? If not, I'm not talking about you, so keep your counsel. I respect a diversity of opinion. Maybe you should too.

You miss the point entirely, mind if people have a chance to weigh in, before head office passes it's verdict. You're voice is noted, it would be nice, if everyone slowed down and listened, especially when half of the naysayers have an AGENDA.

Mound. Wasn't it Davey who said:

"Stay on the road to reform and keep left of centre." "Revere the leader." And "Hang together." ?

Perhaps you are correct. We do need more Keith Davey's around, but I'd suggest that you are looking at the wrong group when you are making that accusation.

Bonjour Sinestra,
