Dryden Scores at Montreal Outgames

Ken Dryden was warmly received at Montreal's Outgames this past Thursday. Mr. Dryden was asked to present the medals for the Men's and Women's Track and Field at the Centre Athlétique Claude-Robillard and, of course, he was happy to oblige. What an amazing buzz.

And while a blogger was quick to scandalise with the Yankee-Burger Gate, I can certainly attest to the fact that he loves Canadian smoked meat. As usual, he was treated like royalty at Schwartz's Deli on The Main at lunch.

Later in the day Mr. Dryden dropped the puck for the Competitive Men's Hockey Semi-Finals at Aréna Saint-Michel and watched the game with another former NHL-er. The future Prime Minister of Canada was quite a hit with the crowds and French and English-language Canadian and US media.

Way to go, Ken!

It doesn't happen really often that a goalie scores...
